Childers Classical Institute was founded in 1906, and from that beginning, Abilene Christian Schools has consistently achieved academic excellence by providing quality education in a Christian-oriented atmosphere.
ACS has consistently grown to meet the needs of the Abilene Community.
- 1906 - Founded
- 1912 - Childers Classical Institute becomes Abilene Christian College and The Campus School
- 1974 - The Campus School is renamed Abilene Christian Schools
- 1986 - ACS officially separates from Abilene Christian University and moves to its new campus
- Currently - offering Pre-kindergarten through 12th grade on one campus
