Texas Education Freedom Account (TEFA)

The Texas Education Freedom Account (TEFA) program was created by the Texas Legislature to expand educational options and give families greater flexibility in choosing the learning environment that best supports their child. Beginning with the 2026–2027 school year, eligible students accepted into the program may receive funding to help cover approved educational expenses, including private school tuition, homeschooling costs, tutoring, career and technical programs, and other qualifying services.

Abilene Christian School will participate in the TEFA program. These education freedom accounts are intended to broaden opportunities and allow Texas families to pursue the educational pathway that best fits their child’s needs.  For more information about TEFA eligibility and how to apply, please visit the TEFA website.

Support at Abilene Christian School

Abilene Christian School partners with families to educate students in Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade, offering a challenging, college-preparatory curriculum that fosters academic excellence, spiritual growth, and character development.

While families who receive a TEFA award are encouraged to apply, all students are expected to meet ACS’s established admission standards, including academic readiness, conduct, and alignment with our school’s values.

Please note: While we are committed to helping every student succeed, Abilene Christian School may have limited resources to accommodate certain educational or behavioral support needs. Our goal is to ensure that each student is placed in an environment where they can thrive academically, socially, and spiritually.

ACS can provide certain classroom supports, such as seating accommodations, but we are not equipped to offer the full range of specialized services available in public school settings.
