Welcome
At Abilene Christian School, it is our mission to integrate our Christian faith into everything we do. Believing that each person is created in the image of God, ACS exists to provide the students an environment in which they may thrive spiritually, academically and socially.
Experience The Difference
Abilene Christian School is an accredited Pre-K through twelfth grade school on one campus. For over 100 years, ACS has consistently achieved academic excellence by providing quality education in a Christ-centered atmosphere. Abilene Christian School focuses on producing graduates with a strong Christian faith who are prepared to succeed academically and excel in life.
We offer a challenging curriculum promoting academic and spiritual growth and a full-range of athletic and fine arts opportunities. Bible classes, weekly chapel sessions, and service projects provide every student with a way to reach his or her God-given potential.
Pre-K

Abilene Christian School offers Pre-K for children turning 3, 4, or 5 years old by the first day of school. ACS uses The Core Knowledge Preschool Program. This curriculum is specifically designed to provide young children with the solid foundation they will need for later learning in kindergarten and beyond. This program emphasizes a language-rich environment.
Elementary

K-5th grade students experience a challenging curriculum called Core Knowledge. Based on the research and findings of E.D. Hirsch, Jr., Core Knowledge exposes students to a broad range of historical, scientific, and cultural topics that will build on one another to prepare them for educational success. This wide array of subject matter not only develops cultural literacy but also builds the strong vocabulary necessary for true reading comprehension.
Middle School

6th, 7th, and 8th graders experience all the benefits of advanced courses with smaller class sizes in Middle School. Students experience enlightening field trips all over Texas, classes for high school credits, and opportunities to participate in award winning fine arts programs. Spiritual growth is cultivated through Chapel, community service projects, team building retreats, and Bible classes.
High School

High School students prepare for college in an environment that fosters critical thinking, encourages creativity and innovation, facilitates collaboration, and points students toward excellence. Students have higher than average ACT/SAT scores and can graduate with college credit earned through the many dual credit classes offered. ACS sports and fine arts programs historically compete at the regional and state levels. Students develop spiritually by contributing their gifts on a global basis through service projects, mission work, and participating in community.
